Homemade Flatbread
Making flatbread at home is easier than you might think and adds a special touch to your meal. We like to pair ours with lamb koftas and hummus.
Ingredients
- 3 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup olive oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder.
- Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 16 pieces and rest for 15 mins with a tea towel on top.
- On a floured surface, roll each piece into a thin circle.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 1-2 minutes on each side until puffed and golden.
